1. Who we are
ROVI+ is provided by MIX CENTURY SERVICES SDN. BHD. (Reg. No. 202201039824 (1485521-V)), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. We are responsible for personal information processed through the ROVI+ app, website and waitlist. Contact support@mixcenturyservices.com for privacy enquiries.
2. Account, profile and game saves
You can start an adventure without signing in. Your game is initially saved on this device. If you connect Apple or Google, we receive an account identifier and available verified email; we do not receive or store your Apple or Google password. Authentication sessions are used to secure access.
A connected account stores your ROVI ID, display name, birthday, selected avatar, title, activity preferences, city or area, time zone, settings, quest assignments and completion history, XP, coins, awards, journey progress, companion, campsite and room participation. Your birthday is private and not displayed to friends. Custom portrait files are stored in account-scoped storage for save recovery; we do not perform facial recognition.
Cloud sync needs a working connection and valid session. The app distinguishes a confirmed cloud save from pending changes. Do not delete the app or switch devices assuming unsynced changes have already been backed up.
3. Apple Health privacy boundary
Apple Health access is optional and controlled by the permission sheet. ROVI+ reads only supported activity you allow, such as steps, Stand or Roll hours, distance, active energy, exercise or workout duration, elevation and workout category, to calculate game progress. The app does not write to Apple Health.
Raw Health samples, individual workout traces, heart-rate samples and GPS routes remain on your device and are not included in cloud game saves. A connected account can sync daily activity totals, local day and time zone, sync timestamps, challenge results and derived game statistics used for quests, rooms, leaderboards and save recovery. These totals are account-linked, not anonymous.
Health data is not used for advertising, sold to data brokers or used for marketing profiles. Friends see shared game results and permitted totals, not your raw Health record or a map of your movement history. Background reads and notifications depend on iOS, permissions and data availability; delivery is not guaranteed.
You can withdraw Health access in Apple Health or iOS Settings. Future reads stop; existing game records and previously synced totals are not automatically erased. Request their deletion through the account-deletion process or support.
4. Location and social information
Location access is optional. When requested, the app uses a location to resolve a city or area for personalisation. It does not upload a precise coordinate history or provide navigation. The selected city or area and location preference may be stored with your connected profile. You can instead enter an area manually and can change access in iOS Settings.
We process friend searches, requests, connections, invitations, room codes, event descriptions, memberships and leaderboard results. Searching by an email or ROVI ID helps locate a registered account; it is not an upload of your address book. Your email is not displayed on public leaderboards.
5. Website and waitlist
The waitlist collects your email, optional name, selected region, interest, consent record and submission time to provide beta or launch information you request. It does not collect payment details. Contact support to withdraw from the waitlist.
Website hosting and security services process connection information such as IP address, request time, browser information and errors needed to serve and protect the site. The browser camp preview is separate from your app save. ROVI+ does not use advertising tracking SDKs or request cross-app advertising tracking.
6. Why information is used
We use information to provide the game, secure and recover accounts, personalise challenge suggestions, calculate progress, support friends and shared events, respond to support requests, diagnose sync issues, prevent abuse and meet legal obligations. Requested waitlist communications are separate from Health data.
Depending on applicable law, processing is based on your consent, providing the service you request, legitimate interests such as security, or legal obligations. Optional Health and location permission can be withdrawn without preventing access to features that do not need them.
7. Sharing and visibility
We do not sell personal information. Service providers include Apple and Google for authentication, Supabase for accounts, game data and private portrait storage, and Cloudflare for the website and waitlist. They receive information needed to provide those services. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business transfer subject to applicable safeguards.
Registered users may find your public game identity through friend search. Your display name, ROVI ID, selected public avatar or title and shared results can be visible to friends and participants. Public rooms and rankings are visible to other users. Private room invitations or codes limit discovery but do not prevent participants from copying or resharing what they see.
Sharing an achievement to another app is your choice. Preview the content before sending it; the receiving social platform applies its own privacy rules. Raw Health routes and private birthday information are not included in the intended achievement-sharing flow.
8. Retention and security
Account and game records are retained while your account is active and as needed for recovery, security, disputes or legal obligations. Waitlist records are retained until withdrawal, closure of the waitlist or they are no longer needed. After deletion, restricted backup or legally required records may remain for their applicable retention period; they are not kept as an active game profile.
We use secure connections, authentication and account-scoped access controls. No service or device is completely secure. Providers may process information outside your country, including where their infrastructure is located, with safeguards required by applicable law.
9. Account deletion
In the app, open Me → Settings & Privacy → Account & deletion request, sign in to the account you want to remove, and submit the deletion request. You may also contact support@mixcenturyservices.com. We may verify account ownership; you do not need to send your Apple or Google password.
A request is not immediate deletion or simply signing out. Mix Century will complete the verified account-deletion request within 3 days, remove the account and associated cloud game saves, portrait files, memberships and invitations, revoke linked Sign in with Apple access where applicable, and email confirmation. Limited legally required or restricted backup records may be retained as described above.
Apple Health records remain controlled by Apple Health on your device and are not deleted by ROVI+. Copies exported to other services or other participants are subject to their policies. Unsigned local game data can remain on the device; deleting the app removes its local save. Contact support if you need help removing local data as well.
10. Your choices and rights
You can edit profile and preference settings, manage notification permission, revoke Health or location permission, leave rooms, remove friend connections, control voluntary sharing and request access, correction or deletion through support. Depending on where you live, additional rights can include restriction, objection, portability, withdrawal of consent or complaints to a relevant privacy authority. Mandatory rights are not limited by this policy.
Quest milestones use local notifications when enabled. Friend and room invitations are refreshed in the app; closed-app remote push is not configured in the current release. Changing notification permission does not remove existing invitations or game records.
11. Age requirements
ROVI+ is for users aged 13 and above. Users below the age of majority where they live need a parent or guardian's permission and supervision. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children under 13. Contact support if a child has submitted information so we can investigate and remove it as appropriate.
12. Updates and contact
This policy covers the app and ROVI+ website. Material changes will be communicated in the app, on the website or by another appropriate notice. The version and effective date identify the current policy. Questions and rights requests: support@mixcenturyservices.com.
