Privacy Policy
PACEVARO is designed to be local-first. We do not sell personal data, use advertising trackers, or use health or fitness data for advertising. This policy applies to PACEVARO users worldwide.
Who we are and the scope of this policy
MIX CENTURY SERVICES SDN. BHD. ("Mix Century", "we", "us", or "our") publishes PACEVARO. This policy explains how we handle information in the PACEVARO iPhone app, its related Apple-platform experiences, the PACEVARO website, support communications, and the services used to provide account, subscription, weather, and optional AI Coaching features.
For personal data that we determine how and why to process, Mix Century is the controller or equivalent responsible business under applicable privacy law. Apple and other providers may also process information under their own terms and privacy policies.
Information we handle
Information kept on your device
PACEVARO may store your profile, goals, race goals, check-ins, soreness selections, shoes, heart-rate zones, imported workout summaries, plans, schedule context, race recaps, photos, reminders, and app preferences locally on your device. Local information is not collected by Mix Century merely because the app processes it on your iPhone.
Apple Health and fitness information
If you approve access, PACEVARO may read workouts, heart rate, heart-rate variability, resting heart rate, sleep, VO2 max, active energy, distance, elevation, and workout routes. Apple Health is the app's single workout connection; third-party services must first share supported data into Apple Health. Access is optional and can be changed or revoked in iOS Settings. PACEVARO does not write Health data from the iPhone app and does not upload your raw HealthKit database or general workout cache to iCloud. A race recap you choose to save may include summary metrics from its linked workout.
Optional AI Coaching
AI guidance is opt-in. PACEVARO AI Coaching and the limited Welcome Pass send a compact, purpose-specific training summary through a secure service operated by Mix Century to OpenAI. The summary is limited to the recent data needed for the requested weekly plan or race review; PACEVARO does not send your full Apple Health database or a full year of raw workouts.
The service verifies your PACEVARO session and keeps a pseudonymous account identifier plus request type, time, status, token totals, estimated cost, and allowance counters for reliability and abuse prevention. Standard AI Coaching permits up to 12 AI plan generations monthly (maximum 3 per week), 4 AI weekly reviews monthly with one saved review per selected completed week, and 4 AI race reviews monthly (maximum 1 per week). Mix Century does not store your AI prompt or the generated coaching response on this service. OpenAI states that API data is not used to train its models unless the customer opts in. Under standard API controls, OpenAI may retain content in abuse-monitoring logs for up to 30 days. See OpenAI API data controls.
Optional location, weather, and air quality
If you enable local conditions, PACEVARO sends your current coordinate, rounded to four decimal places, directly to Open-Meteo to retrieve weather plus current U.S. AQI and PM2.5 values. Apple classifies coordinates at this resolution as precise location. Mix Century does not operate an intermediate weather server and does not store this coordinate on a Mix Century server. You can deny or revoke location permission in iOS Settings.
Account and subscription information
If you use Sign in with Apple, PACEVARO stores the account identifier and any email Apple provides securely on your iPhone. The AI service receives the Apple identity token for verification and stores only a one-way pseudonymous account identifier.
Optional AI Coaching subscriptions are purchased and billed by Apple. To verify and restore access, PACEVARO sends the App Store transaction identifier to the Mix Century service, which asks Apple's App Store Server API to confirm the product, bundle, subscription status, expiration, and transaction environment. We store the product identifier, original transaction identifier, entitlement status, expiration, and last verification time with your pseudonymous PACEVARO account. We do not receive or store your payment-card details.
Photos, reminders, and backup files
Photos selected for race recaps or share images stay local unless you export or share them. A manual PACEVARO backup file, limited to 1 GB, may contain private app records, compressed eligible photos, generated race-recap coaching, and selected workout summary metrics linked to a saved recap, but not your raw HealthKit database or general workout cache. You control where the file is stored, who can access it, and when it is deleted.
Training and post-workout reminders are scheduled as local notifications on your device. Mix Century does not operate a push-notification profile or collect notification content through this feature.
Version 1.0 Build 15 offers an optional weekly setup sync using Apple's iCloud key-value service. When the user enables it, PACEVARO can synchronize a curated set of small app setup records between compatible iPhones signed into the same Apple Account. These records can include profile and app preferences, check-ins, race goals, shoes, plans and plan edits, run reflections, workout title changes, and race-recap text records. They are stored in the user's own iCloud account for app functionality; Mix Century does not operate the iCloud service or receive access to this synchronized store.
PACEVARO does not place race-recap photo files, the workout photo gallery, raw HealthKit data, general workout caches, or widget snapshots in this key-value sync. Apple Health workouts restore separately through Apple Health where the user enables Apple's own Health synchronization. Weekly iCloud setup sync is not a complete backup and can be turned off in Account & data. Manual backup-file export and import remain available for a user-controlled transfer that can include eligible compressed app photos.
Website and support information
If you email support, we use the information you send to answer your request. If you previously joined the release list or requested beta access, we retain the submitted contact information only until you unsubscribe, request deletion, or the communication period ends. Email support@mixcenturyservices.com to unsubscribe or request deletion.
How and why we use information
- Provide local training, readiness, planning, race, backup, and reminder features.
- Authenticate accounts and maintain session security.
- Deliver optional AI Coaching and enforce the applicable usage allowance.
- Verify purchases, restore subscription access, and prevent subscription fraud.
- Provide optional weather context requested by the user.
- Respond to support, privacy, safety, and legal requests.
- Protect the service, investigate abuse, and maintain reliability.
Depending on where you live, our legal bases may include your consent, performance of our agreement with you, compliance with law, and our legitimate interests in operating and securing PACEVARO. You may withdraw consent for Health, location, and AI features without affecting processing that occurred before withdrawal. Core local features remain available without AI Coaching or a PACEVARO account.
Service providers and disclosures
We disclose only the information needed for a provider to perform its service:
- Apple: App Store distribution, Sign in with Apple, StoreKit purchases, App Store transaction verification, Apple Health permissions, user-account iCloud setup synchronization, and device services.
- OpenAI: processing an AI Coaching request that you initiate.
- Cloudflare: hosting and securing the Mix Century service that authenticates accounts, verifies access, and relays optional AI requests.
- Open-Meteo: providing weather from the coordinate sent directly by the app.
We may also disclose information when you direct us to, to protect users or the service, in connection with a corporate reorganisation subject to appropriate protections, or when legally required. We do not sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, or use Health data for advertising, marketing profiles, or data brokerage.
International processing
PACEVARO is available globally. Mix Century and its service providers may process information in countries other than yours. Privacy laws in those countries may differ. Where applicable law requires it, we use recognised transfer mechanisms or other appropriate safeguards and apply data-minimisation and access controls. Contact us for information about safeguards relevant to your region.
Retention
- On-device and user-iCloud setup data: until you delete or replace it through the app, delete the relevant local data, or manage the applicable Apple Account and iCloud storage. Deleting the app from one iPhone may not delete a synchronized setup snapshot from the user's iCloud account.
- Account, subscription, and AI usage metadata: while your account is active and afterwards only as reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, accounting, dispute resolution, or legal obligations. Account deletion removes the associated active service records, subject to information we must retain by law.
- AI request content: not retained by the Mix Century gateway after the response is delivered. OpenAI may retain content in abuse-monitoring logs for up to 30 days under its standard API controls.
- Support and prior signup records: while needed to answer the request, maintain necessary business records, or until you unsubscribe or request deletion, subject to legal requirements.
Security
We use measures designed to protect information, including encrypted network connections, Keychain storage for device credentials, pseudonymous server identifiers, access controls, and data minimisation. No system can guarantee absolute security. Protect exported backup files as you would other sensitive personal files.
Children
PACEVARO is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If the law where you live requires a higher age for independent consent, use PACEVARO only with valid parental or guardian involvement. Contact us if you believe a child provided server-held personal information without appropriate permission.
Your choices and privacy rights
You can deny or revoke Apple Health and location permissions, turn weekly iCloud setup sync off inside PACEVARO, disable iCloud Drive or iCloud access in Apple settings, choose not to use AI guidance, sign out, delete local sessions, purge imported workout caches, and delete manual backup files. To delete your server-held PACEVARO account, open Settings > Account & data > Delete PACEVARO account. This does not delete local or iCloud-synchronized app records, Apple Health data, or cancel an Apple subscription. You may separately revoke PACEVARO under Sign in with Apple in your Apple Account settings.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, consent withdrawal, or portability, and to appeal or complain to a privacy regulator. You will not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising applicable rights. PACEVARO does not sell or share personal information for behavioural advertising, so there is no sale or advertising-sharing opt-out to exercise.
Send a request to support@mixcenturyservices.com. Describe the right you want to exercise and the PACEVARO account involved. We may need to verify your identity. We will respond within the period required where you live. You may also complain to your local data-protection or privacy authority.
Automated guidance
PACEVARO may use automated calculations and optional AI to suggest training adjustments. These outputs do not make legal or similarly significant decisions about you. They are general fitness guidance, and you remain in control of whether to follow, change, or ignore them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when PACEVARO, its providers, or applicable requirements change. We will update the date above and provide additional notice in the app or website when a change is material and required by law.
