A CLEARER NEXT STEP

At a glance

Beginners can use PACEVARO's free 12-week run/walk programme without an account or AI subscription. Set your starting point and available days, open the session guidance, and add a check-in about how you feel. You can change the plan manually as you learn what fits.

MADE PRACTICAL

See what that means for your running.

Useful guidance starts with what you can actually do, and what you choose to share.

01

Begin with what you know.

Choose the starting point that fits your experience rather than guessing a training label. Your goal describes what you want to work toward; your coaching stage describes your current focus. These are separate from how you feel today. Missing workout history does not automatically make someone a beginner or prove they took a break.

  • Tell the app about recent comfortable running or walking.
  • Choose available days before filling the week.
  • Use the free starter, or build a small week yourself.
02

Understand the session before you start.

Open the full-page guide to see the purpose, duration and steps. The beginner programme uses running and walking rather than assuming every session is a continuous run. Supported timed workouts guide the stages. Treat the session as a plan to review: recent comfort, symptoms, recovery and the conditions outside still matter.

03

Give the plan the context only you know.

A quick check-in can record energy, sleep, stress or soreness. The body map helps when you can point to a location more easily than name it. Your Coaching adds short explanations and optional recent-training notes. Leave uncertain information unknown instead of inventing a number. A recorded check-in does not automatically call AI or rewrite the week.

04

Build a routine that survives a missed day.

Mark a session Done or Missed, add a reason if useful and make a manual change without using AI allowance. A busy day is not proof of poor fitness. Focus on the work you actually did rather than treating a saved plan as completed training. Journey can help you review consistency over time; there is no promised finish date or guaranteed race result.

Visit support
Do I need a Watch or heart-rate strap to begin?

No. Start with planning, session guidance and check-ins on iPhone. Apple Health and recording devices are optional. The core app requires iOS 17 or later; recording a workout directly on the phone requires iOS 26 or later and relevant permissions.

Is the beginner programme an AI subscription?

No. The 12-week beginner run/walk preset belongs to the free core app. You do not need an account, a trial or an AI subscription to use it. Optional AI Coaching is a separate choice with eligible access and usage allowances.

What if the app has little information about me?

Add your starting point, recent comfortable activity and a check-in. Missing Health or workout information remains unknown; it does not mean zero training or poor recovery. Read explanations and review the proposed session against your current comfort before starting.

Should I make up every missed session?

PACEVARO does not treat missed minutes alone as a reason to add catch-up training. Update the reason and review the remaining week. Manual swaps stay available, and a later optional coaching request can consider the context you share.
